Kirkcudbright Swimming Pool
Welcome to Kirkcudbright Swimming Pool. Opened in 1997 our safe, clean swimming pool measures 20m x 8.5m. The water depth is 0.9m, graduating to maximum depth of 1.5m in the deepest part of the pool
We pride ourselves on the high standard of our water quality and the cleanliness of the whole facility. We are very much a family pool and love to encourage youngsters, we have lessons all week for the young and not so young. Swimming is the best exercise you can take with no impact injury.
We run at a temperature of 29.5 deg most days and heat the water to 31/32 deg on Thursdays and Sundays, this benefits younger Kids, Babies and those with joint problems.
Thanks to the generosity of our local authority under 18 year olds can swim free every Saturday (exc July & August)
As well as the pool we have a sauna and fitness suite. These facilities are available during pool opening hours. We have a new improved spectator area with self service tea and coffee facilties.
We have designated parking for wheelchair users and ramps with handrails at the entrance. We have changing/shower facilities with access straight onto the poolside. These are equipped with an adjustable height shower bed, and ceiling hoist. For people who have difficulty with steps, a poolside hoist is available to safely lift swimmers in and out of the water.

When one session runs into another we ask that users exit the water at least 10 minutes before the changeover, please allow for this.

An adult may accompany two children aged 4 – 7 years.
Children aged 8 years and over may be unaccompanied.
These ratios apply regardless of whether or not children are able to swim.
An adult is considered to be a responsible person over the age of 16.
