SPECIAL OFFERS
Timetable
Now we are in winter, our timetable during school hours becomes quite busy with School Lessons once again. We will be welcoming Academy students who have swimming as part of their courses this term, especially those taking Standard Grade and Higher P.E.
The sessions during the school day do change on a regular basis to ensure that we can accomodate all the students, so if you usually swim around these times, it's always advisable to phone ahead before your visit to check for any last minute changes, in order to avoid disappointment.
LIFESAVING CLUB
Lynn and Michael are now running another block of Lifesaving sessions. These are great fun and a fantstic way to improve your swimming and learn important new skills.
Lifesaving Club runs for 10 sessions at a time and takes place on a Tuesday afternoon between 5pm and 6pm. To find out more, please telephone or call in at the pool and speak to one of the team.
LIFEGUARD COURSE
MORE LIFEGUARDS!!
Our September Lifeguard course was very successful and we know have four new volunteer lifeguards at the pool....Congratulations to them all and welcome to the team!
It is very important for us to continue training new lifeguards throughout the year, as they are essential to assisting our permanent paid staff with the running of the pool, especially during busy times and holidays. OUR VOLUNTEER LIFEGUARDS ARE VITAL TO THE SMOOTH RUNNING OF THE POOL - AND YOU COULD HELP!
If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard at the pool we would be delighted to hear from you and have you 'on board'! You can contact the pool at any time to find out more. Any of the team will be able to tell you what's involved and how to register for a course. GO ON - YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!
STARFISH SWIM SCHOOL!
We have now registered as an STA (Swimming Teacher's Association) Starfish Swim School! This means we will be following the STA program specifically for children aged 0-3! This scheme will incorporate our current 'Waterbabies' class as well as our brand new 'Swimming Toddlers class which starts on the 10th January at 2pm. Please come along and give it a try, we'd love to see you!
LOTS HAPPENING DURING 2008!
There's always something new to see or do at the pool. Our Coffee Shop should be up and running in a couple of weeks, so look out for news and special offers!
We will also be starting an adults Swimming Class on thursdays at 9pm so if you want to brush up on your technique or learn to swim from scrath, please let us know...there's room for everyone!
